Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns results. Watauga Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact us, the message contents and contact details are used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Ordinary hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to operate, secure, and understand use of the service. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Data Is Used
Limited information is used to operate the service, respond to correspondence, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
County, city, state, library, archive, and third-party search links lead to independently operated services. Their privacy terms govern information submitted there, including information entered in sponsored search results. Review the receiving service’s policy before providing personal data.
Who May Process Data
Hosting and support providers may process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers can receive the automatic data described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires disclosure.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, password profiles, or resident databases maintained by Watauga Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Texas Privacy Choices
Depending on applicability, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, describes rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses of personal data. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public records held by Watauga, Tarrant County, and Texas agencies, rather than this private reference. Requests concerning a government record must go to its custodian. For information held by us, use the Contact page; we will review the contact mailbox and available logs for responsive information.
