1. Nature of the Service
Watauga Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections relevant to Watauga, Texas. It links to custodians and describes access routes. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a government office, court, or custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person.
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
- Make an FCRA-regulated credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decision.
- Scrape, copy, or republish content at scale.
- Interfere with service operation or security.
3. Consumer Reporting Notice
Watauga Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing here, including the output of a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Third-Party Destinations
Official portals, other outside resources, and sponsored tools maintain their own policies and terms. We do not control their content, availability, charges, or data practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties. We do not warrant that a page, link, office fact, or third-party result is complete, current, accurate, or continuously available.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages related to using this service or an external resource, including choices made from information reached through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution are allowed. Republishing complete pages or systematically copying content is not.
9. Term Updates
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after that posting constitutes acceptance of the revision.
10. Restricting Access
We may restrict or block access for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, with or without prior notice.
11. Texas Law
Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Texas Government Code Chapter 552, the Texas Public Information Act, governs access to qualifying records held by Texas governmental bodies. It does not override confidential, sealed, or exempt record limits.
12. Severability
If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
